Tasted blind at the 2007 Bordeaux horizontal in Southwold. The Troplong Mondot 2007 is much more reserved on the nose that I expected. Very well defined with more mineralite showing through. Wonderful lift and expression. The palate is taut on the entry with tensile tannins, very good acidity and tension, very focused towards the finish with blackberry, cassis and a touch of spice, such panache on the finish.
